Terms of Service

1. What Miya Tutor is

Miya Tutor is software operated by Miya Group BD, Dhaka, Bangladesh, that private tutors and coaching academies use to run their teaching: attendance, fee invoices, reminders, lessons, exams and a guardian portal. The academy is yours; the software is ours.

2. Accounts and roles

Academies are provisioned by Miya on request — there is no self-serve academy creation. Teacher accounts and guardian/student accounts are always separate sign-ins with separate powers; one login never holds both roles in the same academy.

You are responsible for what happens under your sign-in. Tell us promptly if you believe an account is compromised.

3. Your students' money

Students and guardians pay the academy directly, into the academy's own accounts. Miya Tutor records and reconciles those payments but never receives, holds or transfers them. Nothing in the service is a payment, remittance or money-holding facility.

4. What you pay us

Miya bills the academy monthly, per enrolled student, at the rate shown on the pricing page when the invoice is issued, plus a one-time onboarding fee agreed at provisioning. Invoices are issued 7 days before their due date; a subscription unpaid 3 days after the due date is suspended.

Suspension pauses access. It never deletes your students, attendance or fee history — pay the outstanding invoice and the academy resumes where it left off.

5. Your data

The academy's records belong to the academy. Our privacy policy describes exactly what is stored and for how long; it is part of these terms. On a verified deletion request we remove data from live systems, and backups expire within 90 days.

6. Acceptable use

Use the service for running a genuine teaching practice. Do not upload content you have no right to share, do not attempt to reach another academy's data, and do not use the messaging features to send anything other than your academy's own class and fee communication.

7. Service and liability

We work to keep the service available and your data safe, and we describe honestly what the software does and does not do — including that no online exam system can make cheating impossible.

The service is provided as-is. To the extent Bangladeshi law allows, Miya Group BD's total liability for any claim is limited to the subscription fees the academy paid in the three months before the claim arose.

8. Changes and ending

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on this page with a new date, and continuing to use the service after that means accepting them. You can stop using the service at any time; clause 4 and 5 describe what happens to billing and data.
